My son adopted his dog from Oregon Dog Rescue (next door) four years ago. At the time, we were taking our old girl (lab mix) to another vet. From the first visit to Willamette Valley our experience was great. They demonstrated more compassion, thoughtfulness and patience. We switched to Willamette Valley instantly. Sure, you can't make an appointment and the wait can be long at times, but it's worth the wait. We recently had to put our 14+ year old lab down. Each visit leading up to this I was impressed with the care the doctors showed our dog, even to the point they were down on the floor providing comfort and care. On the sad day we had to say goodbye, they were along side us crying as we cried. If you walk in and there is a long wait, maybe there's a reason you should try to appreciate. The doctors and staff are amazing.

This is the best place for any animal need! I would bring my dog to get her nails trimmed, get up to date on vaccines and any check ups. When it came to the end of her life, they were so kind and compassionate, making a very different situation a little easier. I will definitely be back when the next pet arrives!

The most kind, caring, patient, and loving staff we have ever met! My Saba is 11 and can be grumpy at times. They make him feel calm and relaxed. They take the best care of him and we are so thankful. 10/10 would recommend them place to anyone!

I have gone here for a couple of years. They are very nice, but you have to walk in and you have to be there to check in. Then they tell you it will be 1,2,3+ hours. This week I came in 2 days in a row, was told 1-2 hours, ended up being 4 both times. Of course after four hours I had to leave. If waits are this long, then just make appointments, so you don't have to drive back and forth. Waste of time, waste of gas, pollution, animals don't get help they need. I am finally switching vets for my 3 animals because I can no longer deal with this every time. Who has an entire day to sit around for hours on end when your animal is sick and needs help.

I love this place! You can never be too sure of the wait times, but I’ve generally been pleasantly surprised. Their prices and the fact that you don’t need an appointment makes this place worth the 25-30 mins drive! I bring both of my dogs here and have had great experiences! My older dog was having GI issues for months, unexplained by other vets. When I brought her here, the vet immediately got a plan in place and prescribed her special food, and voila! She’s fixed! Most recently I was on a time crunch and the wait was longer than I had experienced before, so I was able to drop off my puppy so she could still be seen, then picked her up later. Which was a god send for my busy day! The vets here are GREAT at communicating and I love that I can email any follow questions.
